Don’t be so gullible that you get swindled out of $15,000, twice. A 77-year-old man said that on Nov. 9 a woman and a 40-year-old man dressed as police officers came to his Torwood Road home and referenced a past incident involving the man getting swindled out of $15,000. Although the man hadn’t reported being scammed to the police because he was afraid of being ridiculed, the two “cops” told him they had made an arrest and needed money from him to match the money they found on the suspects. So with their heads in the clouds, the man and his wife drove with the female “officer” to a bank on Huger Street and he took out $15,000 while the female “cop” waited in the car. The flimflam pair told the man they would call him within the hour to identify the suspects and they would give him back the money from both incidents. But they never did call, so now the man is out $30,000 and facing ridicule for being gullible, again.

Officers were dispatched to a report of a disturbance with a female punching an unoccupied vehicle that was parked in her designated parking space. Upon officers arrival the female was GOA. There did not appear to be any damage to the vehicle and the vehicle owner was not located. The female left a note on the windshield of the vehicle advising the owner to move the vehicle, as it was parked in her space. The officer called the female and spoke with her. The officer warned her about punching other people’s cars.

Aliso Creek Road/Pacific Park Drive, suspicious person, 4:21 p.m. Caller said a subject approached her and said he needed 50 non-violent people for a carwash. The caller noticed he was only approaching women. The subject was a 40-year-old man with a shaved head.

Goleta Valley, CA
A household of university students living on Hillview Drive contacted authorities at 4:30 a.m. after an intoxicated roommate became violent and irrational. The man, 24, was attempting to head-butt and kick his friends before he ran into the street screaming, according to the roommates.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they found the man hiding in the open space southeast of Evergreen Road. Taken into custody on suspicion of public intoxication, the man was transported to jail. During the booking process, the inebriated subject told officers he thought the “United States had been taken over by Nazis.”

When asked whom to contact in case of emergency, he listed, “Jesus 911.”

A patrol stopped a vehicle after observing it weaving and turning into the oncoming lane of traffic on Seneca Street. There was an odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver. He said he drank a couple of beers. The officer asked the driver to recite the alphabet, and the suspect said “A,” then “T” and started laughing.

A woman traveling the wrong way on State 77 nearly ran over a Bay County Sheriff’s Office deputy.

The deputy had to take “evasive action” to avoid getting hit. After a pursuit that lasted about a mile and a half, the woman pulled over near Southport Elementary School.

As the deputy approached, she noted the distinct smell of alcohol emanating from the woman’s vehicle. The woman asked the deputy why she had pulled her over, and the deputy informed the woman that she been traveling south in the northbound lanes of State 77.

“Well, I’m not from around here,” the woman replied, according to police records. “I don’t know which way these roads go.”

The woman, who told deputies she lives in Chipley, was charged with driving under the influence and possession of alcohol by someone under 21.

A South Riverside Drive caller said there were 100 people filming and shining lights at his house. He said this had been going on for hours and requested an officer have the people turn the lights off. After an officer checked the area it was noted in dispatch logs that there were “no lights in the area but he is insisting that there is.”

Their favorite place to have sex while on duty was in the woods behind an Ault Park maintenance shed, but they also continued their affair in police cruisers when they were supposed to be protecting the public.

That’s the story former Cincinnati police Officer Maria Rensing told the department’s internal affairs investigators in a report that was made public Wednesday at the request of The Enquirer.

Both Rensing and her married lover – Officer Kip Dunagan – worked in District 2, which covers Hyde Park and the city’s east side. It’s the same district in which several officers were caught recently playing video games, sleeping and watching television while on duty instead of walking a patrol. Disciplinary hearings and transfers for the officers and their supervisors are pending in that case.
After the Rensing-Dunagan affair became public this summer, Rensing, 27, quit the department.

Although Rensing told investigators that the two officers had engaged in sexual activity while working, investigators believed Dunagan’s claim that, although he admitted to the affair, he never had sex with Rensing while on duty. As a result, he received a written reprimand.

Rensing, a 1998 graduate of Walnut Hills High, wasn’t punished, since she had already quit.

Internal affairs investigators noted in their report that Rensing told them that “Mrs. Rensing and Officer Dunagan engaged in sexual activity on numerous other occasions while on duty.” The report refers to her as “Mrs. Rensing,” because by the time the incident was being investigated, she had quit the department at her husband’s request.

The affair started in March or April, both Dunagan and Rensing told investigators, and was discovered when Dunagan’s wife found e-mails between her husband and Rensing on the couple’s home computer.

Dunagan’s wife called Rensing’s husband in late July and told him of the affair. He confronted his wife, the report said, and she admitted she’d been having an affair with Dunagan and “often” had sex with Dunagan while both were on duty.

“Affairs go on all the time in this world. It’s not newsworthy,” Dunagan, 45, said Wednesday, declining further comment.

The Rensings couldn’t be reached for comment.

Rensing told investigators she and Dunagan had used the mobile computers in their police cruisers to flirt – often with openly sexual content – and to arrange to have sex while on duty.

A police audit of messages Dunagan and Rensing sent each other over those computers confirms much of her story.

“Included in the communications …were numerous transmissions involving sexual innuendo … and other inappropriate non-law enforcement-related transmission,” the report said.

The pair also admitted using their computers to arrange to meet at their “usual location,” Ault Park in Hyde Park.

Police administrators refused Wednesday to respond to questions about the affair, such as why they believed Dunagan’s assertion that the couple never had sex on duty, but didn’t believe Rensing’s insistence that they had.

The report said Rensing’s version couldn’t be proved, because she “was unable to provide specific dates” of sex acts with Dunagan while on duty.

She did provide one specific date, though. She told investigators she was sure she and Dunagan had sex while on duty May 13, because her cruiser was disabled and she had to ride with him for that shift. That night, Rensing told investigators, she and Dunagan drove to Alms Park “and engaged in sexual intercourse in a wooded area.”

Dunagan told investigators he’d had sex with Rensing in Ault Park, hotels and other places, but never while on duty or in his police cruiser.

Dunagan admitted Rensing was in his cruiser while they were on duty in Ault Park, but said they never had sex under those circumstances.

“The purpose of these meetings was to talk and not to engage in sexual activity,” the report quoted Dunagan as saying.

Dunagan received a written reprimand Oct. 11 for using police computers to exchange what he admitted were “unprofessional and inappropriate” messages with Rensing and for having her in his cruiser discussing non-law-enforcement business.

At the Richland County Sheriff’s Department headquarters on Two Notch Road there is a restaurant/store. On Nov. 5 a 55-year-old woman said she saw one of her employees at the store, a 26-year-old man, place two candy bars in his jacket pocket and walk out without paying for them. Deputies were called in (from about 20 feet away) and on their way to the store two of them saw the thief trying to get onto an elevator. They also saw the candy bars in his pocket. He was arrested.

Essex Junction, VT
Police arrested a man charged with sticking his face and tongue through square holes in the wall of an occupied Port-o-let at Overlook Park on Essex Road Sunday.

Police said 55-year-old Timothy Lee Reynolds, of Essex Junction, was making obscene gestures from one toilet to the occupant of another. Reynolds was cited to answer charges of voyeurism and prohibited acts, police said.

A Florida man, who reported seeing a naked man jump into his pickup truck, pursued the stolen vehicle until it crashed less than two miles away and then detained the accused thief until deputies arrived.

The incident took place on U.S. Highway 17 about 9:30 a.m. Friday morning.

Dean Johnson, of Johnson’s Towing, said he had just parked his 1987 Chevrolet pickup in the company parking when he ran in for a cup of coffee and left his keys in the ignition.

No sooner than he poured his coffee, Johnson said his secretary began screaming about someone taking off in his truck.
The woman called 911 to report what she witnessed:

Caller: “Hey, this is Holly at Johnson’s Towing. A guy has taken one of our trucks and he’s taken off. He’s run over our fence.”
911 Operator: “Do you have any idea who he is?”

Caller: “No. He ran through our yard naked and all of a sudden he jumped into our employee’s truck.”

“Instantaneously, I thought someone was just playing in it. Once he got to the gate and crashed through the gate, I knew something wasn’t right,” Johnson said.

Following at a distance, Johnson and his brother, Ronald, gave chase as they called the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office for help.
Less than two miles away, the stolen pickup wrecked in a field on Reid Street, where Johnson detained the driver, later identified as Wayne Boylan, 41.

Maj. Gary Bowling was the first officer at the scene. He said he had to do a double take when the dust cleared.
“When the sea of civilians parted to find that the driver was naked, you kind of have to shift gears a little bit and figure out what to do next,” Bowling said.
