The Finger Nail Polish Frosty

A City of Pewaukee man at 2:24 p.m. Dec. 14 complained of a funny- tasting dairy beverage that made his mouth and throat burn.
According to the police report, the man bought the sealed Hood Calorie Countdown drink in the morning at Pick ‘n Save, 601 Ryan St., and drank it at about 11:30 a.m. The man stated it tasted like fingernail polish or something like acetone.
The man went to Elmbrook Memorial Hospital, where a doctor stated there was no lasting injury, the report said. Pick ‘n Save took the beverage back to be sent to a lab for testing.

Because he knows what it smells like, I assume. Or because he put it in there himself, says the cynic in me.

When you’re a connoiseur of the finest foods or drinks and something is just not right, your discriminating palate goes haywire.

I wouldn’t consume anything that came from a place called pick ’save.

That’s all part of the fun and adventure of buying food at the Dollar Store. It’s like gambling, only you bet your gastrointestinal system instead of money.
