The Missing Mother

Grass Valley, CA
At 2:59 p.m., a woman called to request deputies check on her adult daughter on the 10000 block of Mooney Flat Road. She said her daughter had been missing for four and a half years, and she thought she was dead. The woman said she thought a stepmother killed the family. A deputy checked on the house and found that three juveniles living there were fine and that the mother and daughter have not gotten along for several years. A deputy called the mother back, but she did not answer her phone.

Yep, it’s winter and the seasonal crop is in. Grass Valley is alive and *well*, and once again, all is right with the world.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing, sly. I know I was off for a while (busy at work) and came back to a somewhat empty room. Good Ol’ Mike’s here and rebelgirl and you, of course.

I’m more of a reader than a commenter and was wondering what happened to everyone also. As a reader you have your favorites (present company included) who’s comments you look forward to reading every day to give you that little lift and smile. Glad some of you are still around, miss you when your gone.

My ex-wife’s mother used to call the police and report my ex-wife had been kidnapped and forced into prostitution. She also told all her neighbors that I was a convicted serial killer. When she was held for psychiatric evaluation she sent President Roosevelt (Franklin D., not Teddy) a letter written on toilet paper. It detailed her account of being kidnapped and sent to Nazi Germany, which was where she was currently being imprisoned. This was 14 years ago and, y’know, I still miss the old girl. Every day was an adventure.
