The Last Straw
Clovis, NM
Around 5 p.m. Wednesday, officers were dispatched to a fast food restaurant in the 200 block of West 14th Street for a report of larceny. Police located the suspect after being given a description of his vehicle. The manager said his employees had seen the suspect take a straw dispenser off the counter. The dispenser was located and returned to the restaurant. The suspect told the officers the restaurant was a multimillion-dollar company so he figured it was no big deal. He was issued a citation and a notice not to return to the restaurant

His devious plans to abscond with a perfectly good straw dispenser were foiled again! Tune in next week when he plans to get all the catsup out of the little packs at the neighborhood bar & grille.

My mother in law used to take stuff from what ever motel they were staying in and give it to my wife to furnish her college apartment. For years we had a Sheraton lamp with a big ‘S’ on the shade. My mother-in-law’s logic? “They expect you to take that stuff. It’s built into the rate” No mom, that’s stealing and only scratches the surface with this broad.

Maybe he was a coke head with OCD. Gotta have a clean straw every time…. Or maybe he was headed to Texas. Was there a similar report from Home Depot about someone trying to steal a 10′ 2×4?

LOL Sly, “Is that a 10′ 2×4 in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?”
