The Getaway Bike
Sharonville, OH
Federal authorities said today they are searching for a bike-riding man suspected of robbing six banks in four states, including one in Sharonville.
The first robbery took place Nov. 21 in Columbus, Ohio, followed by the Sharonville one Dec. 1. The other robberies were in Louisville, Knoxville, and Charlotte and Huntersville, N.C., according to the FBI’s Charlotte office.
The last known robbery was Feb. 15 in Huntersville.
In the Sharonville case, a man walked into the PNC Bank in the 12000 block of Lebanon Road about 9:15 a.m., said Michael Brooks, spokesman for the Cincinnati FBI.
The robber handed a teller a computer-printed note demanding money. He ran out of the bank and was last seen riding off on a bike, which Sharonville police later found in a nearby apartment complex, Brooks said.
The robber is described as a six-foot tall white man between the ages of 35 and 50. He weighs between 185 to 195 pounds and has a medium build, short blond hair with traces of gray and blue eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Cincinnati FBI at (513) 421-4310; North Carolina FBI at (704) 377-9200, or the nearest law enforcement office.

What? No playing cards clothespinned to the spokes! Obviously he has no idea how to blend in on a bike.

The scary part is, that description fits me to a t. except, of course that I don’t rob banks, and I would never ditch my trusty bicycle. I need it to get back and forth to work…

Are they sure he wasn’t wearing a rain coat and riding a ‘trik’?
(Let’s see how many of you remember the old ‘Laugh In’.)

In other words: Two of Bonnie and Clyde’s great-grandchildren begin a career in crime dressed as a department store manequin.

I don’t know what is funnier the fact he robbed a bank on a bike or got away on a bike.
