The Parent-Teacher Conference
Tracy, CA
9:36 a.m.: A person at the Tracy Unified School District office told police that a woman said she was coming there to shoot people. The woman apparently was angry because her daughter got a poor grade at Tracy High School.

Well that sucks—not only does her grades suck, but moms going to jail for terrorist threats.

seems logical: the bad grade must have been the school’s fault–it couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the fact that her daughter is a lazy little ho…

Having a sociopathic mom might have something to do with her learning dysfunction, too, I think.

If your little brat doesn’t want to learn, don’t blame the school. They have limited limited resources, and why take them away from kids who WANT to learn. Getting your child interested in the world and how it works is YOUR job. If you can’t motivate the child, how the hell do you think the school system is going to? If you want to use a gun on the person who is responsible for your daughter’s shortcomings, you probably won’t even have to leave the house.

Ah, remember the good old days when you were allowed to “motivate” your children?

You can some places. I hear CA is in the process of decriminalizing spanking as we speak.

Just in time to give Mama a few (dozen) whacks with a 2-by-4 for threatening to shoot the teacher.

Actually Mike, I think they were in the process of TRYING to criminalize it, not to get it decriminalized. Of course I pay about as much attention to California politics as I do the corn in my crap, so I could be wrong.
So does this mean there’s disUnity in the Tracy School District? Or just disfunctionality.
And the worst part is, it’s probably right next to Grass Valley.

You know, sometimes people overlook the most obvious reasons why their kids fail in school — They’re stupid!
Having said that… I can tell you that I have had unbelievable run ins with the faculty of my daughter’s high school — basics like calling a swastika a good luck symbol (yes, that really happened!) There are times I want to go there and shoot them myself. I am just not dumb enough to announce it first.
