Those Tacky Wind Chimes
Erie County, NY
A Lancaster woman reported that an unknown person scattered roofing nails over her driveway. The victim believes it may be a neighbor because she has received two anonymous letters requesting she take down the chimes she has hanging on her porch because they keep the letter writer awake at night. The victim is going to take the chimes down.

Pure speculation about the nails, but if the “letter writers” would go to those lengths then maybe it’s a good thing to take them down. They are annoying!

I have always maintained that the sound of windchimes is wonderfully soothing–unless their someone else’s windchimes.

There’s also the question of whether they are the 6 inch bamboo kind that make a melodious clicking noise or maybe the 5 foot metal ones that make an ungodly clanging. If the former, someone’s being a little too picky/sensitive. If the latter, the roofing nails showed real restraint.

Wind Chimes…wow, good thing this didn’t occur in Chicago. Or in the southeast during hurricane season.
