Trapped In the Pants Department
Bozeman, MT
A man was trying on pants in the dressing room of a department store on West Main Street. The store closed while he was in the changing room. The man was locked inside the store and had no way out.

Looks like the closers skimped on their sweep.. Didn’t the guy hear the store closing announcements? Besides, doesn’t it usually take half an hour or more to get the staff out of the store after closing? Maybe he was too embarassed to come out?

Once he moves instide the store doesn’t the alarm go off? Besides, there has to be an emergency exit door or something. Getting locked inside a store is like getting locked inside your car.
Seems to me he probably had plans to rob the place by getting locked inside (too many movies if you ask me) but realized his plan wasn’t going to work.

If he was trying on clothing he would have known they were closing when the lights were going off—Sounds like a criminal endeavor gone wrong if you ask me.
Back in 1981, my little brother was at the local bowling alley and fell asleep in a booth in the dining area that was not so brightly lit, and they must have missed him as they shut the place down. I distinctly remember that the phone rang at home and it was he saying he was locked in and for our parents to call someone to get him out. They called the cops who were very doubting about the circumstances, as were our parents, and me sort of, but he would have told me if it was a criminal endeavor that failed—-I think. lol
