A Sandstone Ridge Way woman and her 11-year-old daughter were sitting at the dinner table May 6 when they heard a loud bang that sounded like a gunshot. The two looked out the window and saw two men across the street in the clearing near the woods. The woman and her daughter ran into the basement and called police.
Police discovered several bullet holes in the house. As they walked into the clearing, officers heard another seven or eight gunshots. Police discovered a primitive shooting range near a house on a neighboring street and confronted two young men.
The men admitted to shooting the gun and appeared surprised and concerned when they learned they struck a house in the nearby development.

It never ceases to maze me that people don’t seem to realize that the bullet keeps going after it puts a hole in the piece of paper. If there isn’t a thick wall or earth berm behind the targets, somebody will eventually get hit.

Just sitting here shaking my head.
I’m a big supporter of the 2nd Amendment and have several weapons myself, but I believe that if you own a weapon you should be licensed in it’s safety, use and maintenance.
Thus endeth my political rant.

I was raised with a father who was A hunter and a Navy man. He always came home with bumper-stickers, in the 60’s it was “BUY AMERICAN”, Then there was “IF GUNS ARE OUTLAWED, ONLY OUTLAWS WILL HAVE GUNS”. “Guns Don’t Kill People, People Kill People”. But of course, NOW it’s Idiots Without Training AND a Brain, KILL PEOPLE. Do parents even SEE their kids, or TEACH them anything?

No one should have a gun till they at least finish a hunter ed. class, and maybe even a multi-firearm ed. class. Heck some of them may need to get a GED just so officials are sure they can even read the laws they must follow.

My brothers neighbors neighbor was cleaning a romanian rifle he was going to sell on ebay and pulled the trigger to dry fire it, and it had a live round in it that he didn’t know about. (WTF?)The bullet went thru his outside wall, crossed a driveway, thru another outside wall, passed right in front of a guys face–entered and exited thru a steel door, thru the storm door,across another driveway and lodged in my brothers window frame. My thought on that is….Why does someone point a gun towards a house to dry fire it? I totally believe he is a moron and he just happens to be the Fire Chief also………all they gave him was a ticket for “disorderly conduct”, which is nothing in my book. How about “attempted involuntary manslaughter”? If that bullet would have hit my brother, ye ole firechief would have been pushin up the daisies and i’d be settin in a concrete and iron room for a long while.

i am into guns, and i like to hunt. one thing i have to say is that mike, ritch, white, and gt all have a VERY valid point. ALWAYS safety first. always. every hunting season here, someone always gets shot, and most hunting seasons, someone gets killed. its very unfortunate, but it does happen. ALWAYS SAFETY FIRST.

Oh, on the news tonight, out of Los Angeles, there was a piece regarding a BLIND MAN trying to get gun permits. He said he already has one for concealed weapon. (I think it may be concealed from him as well). This really is true. I am not sure if it is California or National news. I’d be willing to guess its Cali though So MUCH FUN! Now I have to worry about a blind man saying OOPPS!…
