What a rip off! Only 1 drumstick?
An associate of mine had hit a pair of male pheasants once. Yep, pinged them off the windshield, but was too scared to pick them up because he didn’t want to get pecked….I told him he was nuts and that only the hens peck.

ya gotta grab birds by the neck and the feet to avoid getting injured. just chalk that up to a lesson learned early in upland-bird country. and yes GT, only one drumstick, but just think of the energy youll save catching that bird!! lol

Aftre which Bob Barker was quoted in the Erie County Echo as saying, “I hope they captured it to have it fitted for a prosthetic leg. It’s terrible for a wild bird to have to go through the embarrassment of having only 1 drumstick. Think of the ridicule it has to go through with the rest of the members of the turkey society. If the local authorities don’t have anyone that can do the fitting, I’m sure PETA help.”

Bob Barker has a point. Give it a wooden leg. Then add an eye patch and a pet parrot — Tada! Captain Turkey the Pirate!

Oh, joy! Pirates of the Caribbean 4 — I’d love to see Johnny Depp trading broadsides with an adversarial wooden-legged pirate captain turkey.

Yep Ford–all we would need is a cop car and we’d be deep in 1 legged turkeys.
