The Offending Pests
Clovis, NM
Around 6 p.m. July 1 an officer responded to a home in the 1300 block of Davis Street for a juvenile who had sprayed bug spray on his mother.
On arrival the woman told the officer her son didn’t actually spray her but had upset her when he used the spray during daylight hours when she had purchased it for use at night.
The officer noted it was the second time that day the woman had called in a problem with her son and changed her story when the officer arrived. He also noted she had a history of similar calls and was often intoxicated when police responded.
He told the woman she could not call the police for false incidents and her misuse of 911 needed to stop immediately.

Poor kid. He should have sprayed her.

Yeah, and the officer should have sprayed her, too — to give something to complain about. At the very least, if he was going to just slap her wrists, he could’ve used his cuffs…

After he slapped her wrists with the cuffs the cop should have also slapped her upside the head with them and told her to at least use an excuse that made a little sense.
