Ouch! Shutup!

Clovis, NM
Police tried Saturday morning to help a man seated in a car at the 400 block of West Ninth Avenue who was screaming that his ankle was broken.

When police arrived, they found a 22-year-old Clovis man whose right ankle was very swollen and flopped from side to side. However, he refused to provide any information, warned a man with him to “keep your mouth shut and don’t tell them anything,” and refused to file a police report.

why the fuck did he scream help, stupid prick

  2. Christopher Wheeler Says:

Speaking as a police officer, I can honestly say that this is a frequent occurance. People tend to call for help, then realize that they either have a warrant, did something illegal, or some other venture into stupidity keeps them from following through with the help that they want.

After 25 years of ER trauma experience, this guy is just another of the stupid masses. You would not believe the stuff people come to the ER with, or the amount of time they will wait hoping something will get better or go away. I am in the process of writing a book comprised of anecdotes from my years in emergency rooms, and the longest chapter so far is entitled: People are Stupid.

I am an honist law abiding person, but what i dont under stand is when a person is hurt or bleading to death they have to give their whole life history before anyone will help them.

  9. E Says:

In response to Jack’s entry….. I’m sure officers helped this guy even though he refused to tell them what happened. Officers need to find out if a crime has occurred and if so respond accordingly. If not, then it’s strictly a medical issue and they would need to summon medical personnel. But then again, the police don’t always catch the smart ones :)

I have been in the nursing field for over 26 years. It amazes me the stupid things people do when they need help. I just amazed at all the anal cranial inversions we have .And sadly some are so bad that even the medical profession cant removed there major malfunction.

  15. Airbornemonty Says:

Several years ago, I was at the Clovis Memorial Hospital visiting my cousin and I saw this fellow as they were rolling him into the ER. He was sitting on the bed wearing a western pistol holster, holding his thigh and crying like a baby.

What had happened was that he had been practicing his fast draw with a 45 caliber revolver and accidently shot himself in the thigh.

I am embarrassed to admit, but I just had to laugh at the poor guy. I can still see him as I write. It was really funny!

  16. Gary Geddings Says:

Well, What can you say I guess he figured he could attract some girls by having an injury and the police man who was just doing his job messed up his “game” guess he was desprate enough to break his ankle for a female……lol people are stupid!!!!! or his friend beat the shit out of him and he was embarassed. Ha Ha Ha

  17. LDUVAL Says:

Foot broken ? Refuses to submit to help ? Sounds like a smelly situation to me…

  18. xcon43739 Says:

he hurt his leg doing something wrong. Also the police were more intrested in an arrest then helping.

  19. guidob Says:

After dealing with people like this for over 25 years, I guess i don’t have much sympathy. Give him one chance at having EMS take care of him, then At the count of three, pull him out of the car.

  20. Dave Says:

I see it every shift. These stupid people are my job security! I’m a firefighter and we love stupid people because they help keep up busy and I just want to say thank you…

  21. imacountrygirl Says:

My view points on this subject is if you want help thn you need to give out important information about yourself…..DUH….People are so flipping retarded sometimes!!!!

  22. St. Vincent Says:

In response to xcon….perhaps you’re unaware but such an arrest is one that cops are weary of. It would inevitably lead to the ER and would be a long and miserable wait there until the injured was taken care of completely. With a broken ankle, that process may be a day or so. He would’nt be taken to jail until all injuries were mended. Such an arrest would not be worth it. As E wrote above, cops have to ascertain whether a crime has been, is or will be committed. Otherwise, such a situation is purely medical and he should have taken his ridiculous a** to the hospital.

  23. Master kVAnn Says:

This guy could actually die from such and injury but hasn’t a clue about it. I doubt that the officer would even know that. I would suspect that the officer would not walk away without doing a warrant check on the vehicle and it’s occupants. I do however doubt that he would call EMS after the guy insisted he didn’t need it. The officer’s stop and whatever follow through action he took would be a matter of record as he would have reported his contact with the individual and what he was told and what he learned from a warrant check. The guy however is just lucky he wasn’t a horse.

  24. cute_but_wierd Says:

being EMS/Rescue worker i tend to be less careful while working on people who do dumb stuff to throw salt in the wound so to say,,makes em think twice about doing something dumb again..and i must say i havent had the same interaction with 1 person,,lmao

  25. cute_but_wierd Says:

in my state if its a life threatening sitiation the PD has to call EMS and at the very least have him checked out on the scene to confirm wether is serious or not.there have been lawsuits in the past for that exact action of not calling so now they have no choice

  26. firemedic Says:

This guy should have had to sign a “refusal of treatment” form for the EMS workers on scene, if they were on scene…..PD better of called them, they could be sued if they did not call EMS…If the subject that is injured refuses to sign the “refusal of treatment” form then the EMS worker should document the refusal very well, then sign it and get PD to sign as a witness….That way when (not if) the subject tries to sue , because he did not get treatment and his foot and leg became infected and had to be amputated. (They have up to seven years to file the law suit) With proper documentation he would not have a leg to stand on in court….OH pardon the pun. And yes we do consider his type job security.

  27. 4rest Says:

god, why does any body care?! I’ve seen the same thing everywhere, not the same case but same situation. This guy is stupid and this is probably a waste of my time but I do have to respond to stupidity in a smarter way. The mouth of a wise man is in his heart, but the heart of a fool is in his mouth.

  28. blackpour13 Says:

All he had to do is come up with the money he owed me and I’d a left his ankle alone

  29. K.C. Says:

NEXT TIME IT’S YOUR KNEES PUNK!!! HAHAHA!!!
