The 10-Day Test Drive
Waynesboro, GA
An SUV owner called police last week when a potential buyer went too far.
According to a report filed at the Waynesboro Police Department, the owner allowed the potential buyer to take the $13,500 Durango home for a two-day test drive.
After 10 days without a word, the owner called the buyer’s probation officer who said he was vacationing out of state.

Sounds like someone better enjoy that vacation. It may be his last freedom for awhile…

Would you let anyone other than say a family member or good friend take your vehicle for a two day test drive? And did he know the “buyer” had a probation officer prior to letting him take the two day test drive? Guys must have been cell mates or at least the seller needs to be put under 24 hours observance for his own protection.

Right on, Keeglet. That’s sorta like handing over $13,500 to a stranger!
