My Dad the Bum
Flathead County, MT
2:24 p.m. An Evergreen woman called in when she saw a man follow two kids on a bicycle to the park. She said the man looked like a bum. She then saw the man play with the kids. She didn’t think the man was the kid’s Dad. When Deputies looked into it they found the man was the kid’s Dad.

People are way too suspicious when a dad can’t take his kids to play in a park without someone calling the cops……..

good point sylvia, but, what if the caller was correct? better to check on stuff like that than risk a kids life.

I think people should have to leave their name when making such accusations—kind of like a liability for wasting the police’ time and maybe you could press charges for being inconvenienced—I don’t know….but it would get me really upset if someone were to do that to me.

or do like our loud party complaints, charge for the department time(its not a fine) 1 supervisor, 1 dispatcher, 2 patrol+$60 for a half hour call after the second call, only this time charge the caller
