The Fake Cop From Chain Gang Road

A 76-year-old woman said a man came to her Chain Gang Road home Dec. 22 and told her he was responding to an alarm. The woman talked to the man through a locked screen door because he said he needed to go inside her house and make sure everything was OK. The woman said his shoes and pants were filthy and he was dressed in all black with a security badge on his shirt. Because she did not think he was a real security officer, she told him he was not coming in her house. When the woman’s rottweiler began barking, the man left in a blue Jeep.
