3:41 a.m. Caller from the 200 block of Ann St. requested to talk to an officer in reference to her ex-boyfriend who was in her house. Caller stated he had entered her residence and dumped Clorox into her fish tank and killed seven fish valued at $35. Two people witnessed the ex-boyfriend exiting the house and will fill out statements and bring to the PD.

Sounds kind of fishy to me. But, unless he was protesting home schooling, which someone needs to do, I feel they should fry him next Friday.

Man sought by by EPA for polluting small body of water and killing an undetermined number of an endearing species. Last seen exiting area wearing retro-style tie-dyed clothing full of holes. He is of average height and build and has teary eyes and cracked, red hands. He is considered harmed and dangerous. Please report sightings of this %#!%* to 1-800-smalltownmisfits.

Somebody has to ask…. Where is the animal cruelty charge? Are fish not cute and fuzzy enough to qualify? I bet if he gassed half a dozen hamsters you’d see the peta types running around with their undies in a bunch, demanding justice for the poor defenseless critters….

The Chief of Police in Chadron was recently fired, and the city powers that be have remained silent as to why. Could be because the police were answering ridiculous calls such as this on taxpayer’s money.
