… I wonder if it is legal to raise chickens unless you live on a farm? who raises chickens in a residential neighborhood??? This isn’t the old country where you raised and killed your food…

funny! People around here have chickens running around, now we are not in some big neighbor hood, but the rooster crows every morning, and when I leave for work, those cocks (and hens) are running around up by their house! And they ARE crossing the road!

Hey Jul, it is not uncommon for people to have small, live stock in a residential neighborhood. I have had Hispanic neighbors that lived next to me that would bring home live chickens and pigs to kill and cook for a party.

In our fair city of 225,000 people, it is legal to have a few chickens in your yard, as long as they remain caged and are NOT roosters. We have a very multiracial population).

in the subdivision where I Grew up The lady up in the culdisac had chickens…they were actually show chickens.
