1:03 a.m. Report of a slender white male wearing a white checkered shirt standing next to the guardrail on State Road 46 West.
2:18 a.m. Caller from above wants to know if officers found him and stated she wanted to know she wasn’t seeing things.

Yes I was there, but if the cops came looking for me it must have been after I left (no good roadkill on that one). I hope they told the meddlesome wench that she was losing her marbles, two or three at a time;-) The funny thing about it is it was a white on white checkered shirt, she’s got VERY good eyesight (the only three cars that went by while I was there were doing at least 50)

Well, with shrooms, comes the ability to have something in your eyesight for an “extended” period of time. But, I have to say, Mike, that I’m kind of disappointed in your choice of wardrobe that night. I mean, in Indiana, the only “checkered” anything that is allowed is usually black & white.

It was the ghost of Willie Winkle…the notorious ghost of State Road 46. Passerbys have caught him more than once taking a leak at the side of the road with a dazed look on his face and a far away look in his eyes.
