It’s all fun and games until someone loses and eye, eh?

Javalin catching is not a sport to play drunk or for the fant of heart. It is clearly in the category of do-not-try-this-at-home and best-left-to-the-pros.

Getting a stick in the eye is no fun. I have a neighbor lady who got hit in the face with an ugly stick.

Maybe he was meeting up with someone with an a$$load of cocaine, and they lost control of the stick they were shaking at it.

Sounds like a game of oneupsmanship — here’s mud in your eye, here’s a stick in your eye……………..

I’ll bet he had the same kind of “blind-date” that I’ve had and this was his preference, or maybe he was trying to BE the “blind date”

I guessing he said “that beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick” one too many times….

I agree, ironman, we always had a rule in high school that no catching javelins after a half rack (tended to make our reaction times a “split-second” too slow) and definately not after two hits of the cajun’s special stash.
But on another note, g1, Robo — loved the ugly stick, man.

Guess he woke up with one of those “coyote dates” and could’nt chew his arm off to get away so he did the next best thing and gouged his eye out. Heres lookin at you kid….

Knowing this area, it very well could be a possibility that someone was counting coup and the stick got stuck.
