A woman was asleep in her apartment on Maynard Court. She woke up and noticed a burning sock. Someone had lit a sock on fire and set it on her window ledge outside her apartment. Police arrived and found a burnt sock on the ground near her apartment. There were no injuries from the sock-burning. An officer wrote, “It is unknown who lit the sock on fire or why.” Investigation continues on the burning sock.

Maybe a failed attempt at Voodoo? You know, steal somones’s sock from the dryer, wave a chicken bone over It a few times….. Light it, and vioila! Instant hotfoot…. But this lady wasn’t as suggestible as the one from Florida.

I’m amazed a cop in Atlanta had time for this call. Don’t they have, like, real murderers and stuff in Atlanta? The last time I called a city cop in referrence to a bulgery in my apartment they just told me to file a report at the local station and no they don’t do finger printing unless someone got killed.

Looks like they would have at least dusted for toe-prints… and maybe tested for traces of chicken DNA… or vacuumed for fibers, like hair of the dogs…

..There should be some kind of penalty for people who abuse the 911 emergency line, maybe then these idiots would get the message!
