A Rincon man reported that his vehicle suffered extensive water damage while he was at Brigham Landing last Saturday.
He told deputies he was attempting to unload his boat from a trailer when he accidentally backed his vehicle into the Savannah River.

And he called the police, why? Because he enjoys the sound of uniformed laughter, I suppose. If I did this, I’m not sure I’d even tell my insurance company about it, forget about the police…

Well, it’s real common among potential Darwin award winners. All you have to do is leave the engine on, the truck (mostly) in park, and the emergency brake off and, voila! instant “accident”.
“No, officer, I don’t know HOW my emergency brake came off. Yeah, I’m certain I turned the engine off. No, the keys were in my pocket. Honest. Can I get a copy of that report for my insurance?”
