One Year of Misfits
Happy Anniversary! Today marks one full year of Small Town Misfit. Last year on October 14th we kicked things off with what still may be my favorite police blot of all time.
Since then, we’ve published 835 police blots and collected 6,920 comments. Small Town Misfit was featured as Yahoo’s pick of the day, and we even got a writeup in Enternainment Weekly. Not bad for our first year!
Stay tuned, I’ve got some fun ideas to soup up the site in the coming months.

I may not comment much, but I look forward to reading them everyday. I got the site on my yahoo page and read it there (RSS I believe). Keep up the good work!
I also have found some interesting police blogs in my own hometown newspaper….most recently I read that a 73 yr old man had reported a bear at the squirrel\birdfeeder in his neighbors yard, when he was questioned by the police he had said, “No I haven’t noticed the bear move at all yet”. Apparently the police went and checked on it and low and behold there was a bear. A real taxidermied bear. :\
Things people waste tax payers money with is amazing.

Congrats, Travis!! I didn’t realize that when I read the black lab post last year that I was reading the very first one. I was following the Yahoo link for “Pick of the Day”. I thought you’d been around for a while, at the least. What a year! The launching of a great web site and the arrival of the Misfit Princess. Well done. Well done, indeed.

Happy Anniversary, Travis! You’ve done a fantastic job so far. I’m kinda surprised you’ve had the time to keep it up with the new addition to your family, but I’m very glad also. Keep up the good work, and I can’t wait to see what you have for us in the coming year.

Wow! A year… I logged on for the first time in like… november of last year… figured you’d been around forever!! You have done us all a great comic!! The only thing that would be better is if they where even one dimensionally animated!! But I love this page… I also found you through Yahoo, and don’t usually comment But ONE YEAR and the most awesome is worthy!!!!!!! THANK YOU… Mr. Travis

I always enjoy reading the comments as well as the stories…Its fun seeing how Intelligent some people truly are…. I started reading it more so after seeing the area I grew up in, showing up In the blots more and more…It’s really funny. Not to mention how ignorant they looked at times…and i can say Oh I Live else where LOL What is so funny is how many of the police blots are from the same areas or repeat citiy blots ! I can always come here when I need a good laugh. Not to forget, there Is always something here that makes one go HMMMMMMMM. Congrats Travis.
