Not Exactly A Mint
Morgan County, GA
On October 15 a recovered firearm report was filed at an Eatonton Highway motel after a man reported that he had found a Beretta 380 with seven loaded rounds under a pillow. The husband of the gun’s owner later contacted the motel and reported that the gun had been left. He was advised that the gun had been seized and was advised on the procedure of securing the weapon.

How do you forget your gun? I can see forgetting shampoo, toothbrush, a sock or something like that. But my gun? Oh, hell no!!!

So, what I’m getting here is -they don’t change the sheets between customers? Lemme guess… They get 36 to to 48 “overnight” rentals on their twelve rooms on a good Friday(Sunday?) night? Boy, that’s a lot of laundry. And what dumbass leaves a motel room without his gun? If you’re gonna carry a gun, it has to be like your money (wallet, checkbook, etc.) you just don’t lose track of it, no matter how much fun you’re having. What if the guy who found it had kept it, instead?

They probably overlooked packing the gun while shoving the motel towels into their bags and puzzling over how they would sneak the tv out without anyone noticing.
On another note…
Here’s a trick. If you plan on staying at a motel any time in the future, take along all the worn out white towels you stole from the last motel you stayed at. Trade them for the fresh, new towels in your room-housekeeping won’t notice until they start the laundry, and even then, they’ll never know whose room they came from. (Obviously, this won’t work with a tv.)
