She Pulled Out in Front Of Me

Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Tampa Drive. The driver did not appear to understand the police officer’s questions. When asked what had happened, the driver said, “She pulled out in front of me.†But the driver had struck a parked car. The driver refused field sobriety and breath tests.

When parked cars start pulling out in front of you, it’s time to hang it up. Normally refusing the FST and breathalyzer is a bad thing, in this case, however, it may save the driver from a more serious charge. Or even the news that (s)he should be dead based on BAC.

Did they check the parked car? Perhaps there was a driver cowering inside, after she pulled out in front of the guy then parked her car after he hit it.
