Free Couch

12:59 p.m. Caller from the 100 block of North Lake St. advised that two girls in an older gray four door car had gone by her house with a couch on the back and the couch fell off. Caller stated that the girls just threw it up on her property.

A CAR with a couch on it? Driven by two girls? I find it hard to believe that two girls could lift a couch onto the top of a car. And did it fall off as she first stated or did they actually stop and dump it? Sounds lilke someone pissed in her Wheaties and she’s looking for some pay back. Just sayin’…………

You’ve obviously have never lived in a college town, sly. It’s quite clever how a couch can be wedged onto the trunk or top of a car, if the space between the arms is approximately the same width as the car. Of course, I think those girls had the help of a couple strapping college guys…and a few brews.

I’m more interested in the fact that it was two GIRLS and they had their own COUCH with them… I wonder what kind of “service” they were going to provide here.. ?

They were either moving and couldn’t afford a U-Haul, or they were starting Chadron’s very first double decker taxi cab.
