The “Willing Participant”
Goleta Valley, CA
The subjects surrounding a university student treated for severe alcohol poisoning claim the victim was a willing participant in the drinking games that jeopardized his health before he landed in the hospital. The young man, 21, suffered from alcohol poisoning after acquaintances, in a prank, reportedly “willingly kidnapped” him, challenging him to partake in drinking games.
Unconscious and colored in Sharpie ink, the man, who the victims unloaded on the front lawn of a sorority house in Isla Vista, also had evidence of duct tape restraints on his body.

Funny, but not surprising, how often drinking is a facet of so many of these stories. Since this is the internet and accessible to so many, you’d think that this would result in a decrease of such incidents. Sort of a ‘Geez, I don’t want to look like that idiot’ affect. And yet, it actually seems to be encouraging this sort of thing. What an interesting species we are.

Ah, who among us was not once young and stupid? We made my army roommate smoke incense. We told him it was opium. And we told him that 7 and 7 was a drink made with Seagrams 7 and 7 Seas Salad Dressing. That was the first and only time he ever drank.
