My Fake ID Expired

Workers at the Ohio License Bureau in Biddulph Plaza got a surprise Feb. 1 when a man trying to renew a fake identification card jumped over the counter in an attempt to retrieve his ill-gotten goods.

Employees called police after they tried to confiscate the man’s original fake ID.

According to witnesses, the man leaped over the counter and wrestled the card away from a worker before fleeing in the direction of the Giant Eagle grocery store. Police were unable to locate the suspect and his female accomplice.

Sunset Boulevard and Innkeeper Drive: A man called police at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday to report that his twin brother was using his identity. The man told officers he found a traffic ticket issued to him during a time when he was in Georgia. The brother was pulled over for the ticket but gave his twin’s license number and name to the officer, the man said.

Lake Murray Boulevard, 900 block: Two men were arrested at 2:55 p.m. Saturday after police spotted them in a car with an expired tag. The driver produced a license that had been suspended for insurance cancellation. Further investigation revealed he was wanted on other charges, including armed robbery. A 2-year-old and a 5-year-old in the back seat were not in car seats. Officers found an open can of beer and a loaded handgun in the car. A computer check on the gun showed it had been stolen from the Palm Springs, Calif., Police Department.
